UK-NZ trade deal talks start | German economic growth | E-com boom in Spain

Trade talks between Britain and New Zealand start
UK Prime Minister Theresa May and New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English have started negotiations to discuss a bilateral trade deal between the two countries.
In an official statement, May emphasised her commitment to building strong ties: “Through our new bilateral trade dialogue we will push for greater global trade liberalisation and reform, share expertise and identify ways to strengthen our own trading relationship.”
International Trade Secretary Liam Fox will soon visit New Zealand to continue the talks.
Earlier this week Theresa May also outlined her plans for Britain to leave the EU single market in a 12 point plan.

Significant economic growth for Germany
According to Germany’s Federal Statistical Office, the country’s GDP was 1.9 per cent higher in 2016 than 2015. This is largely due to increased household and government spending, and builds on seven consecutive years of economic growth for Europe’s largest economy.
While Germany’s exports rose by 2.4 per cent in 2016 compared to the previous year, imports grew by 3.4 per cent – which is good news for British businesses as Germany is a prime destination for UK goods.
E-commerce revenues in Spain continue to increase
E-commerce in Spain grew by 20.3 per cent year-on-year from 2015 to 2016, with an online turnover of €5.95 billion (£5.23 billion) during this period.
Travel agencies, tour operators, air transport, and clothing were the industries which reported the highest online revenue.
Overall, the findings show that shoppers in Spain are highly receptive to buying goods online. As the UK is one of the most advanced nations when it comes to e-commerce, this is a good time to re-examine your presence in this market.
