Scotch whisky’s global success
For some, Scotch whisky is the very essence of Scotland, rich in history, craftmanship and culture. It’s no wonder that it’s such a booming export taking foreign markets by storm.

Discounts drive retail boost
Retail sales increased in October thanks to bigger discounts being offered by stores, this being an attempt to entice back disengaged shoppers. As a result total sales increased by 0.6 per cent, the best performance since April.
British Retail Consortium Chief Executive Helen Dickinson commented on retailers’ extraordinary efforts, saying: “Fashion shops were particularly active, helping non-food return to growth for the first time since July.”Learn more
