UK and Vietnam strengthen trade ties
In the eleventh meeting of the UK-Vietnam Joint Economic Trade Commission, the two nations have been committed to strengthening trade ties. Total trade between the UK and Vietnam was worth more than £6 billion in 2018 and the country is predicted to become one of the top 20 global economies by 2050.
Conor Burns, Trade Policy Minister, said: “Vietnam is one of the world’s fastest growing markets and our trade talks are making big strides in making it easier for our two countries to do business.”See more
New trade agreement between the UK and Tunisia
A trade agreement between the UK and Tunisia has been signed in London. With trade between the two nations worth £378 million in 2018, the agreement will ensure British businesses and consumers benefit from continued access to the market after leaving the European Union (EU).
Dr Andrew Murrison, UK Minister for the Middle East, said: “Tunisia represents opportunities for UK companies and this agreement gives exporters and customers the certainty they need to continue trading freely and in confidence as the UK prepares to leave the EU.”Discover more
How the Thomann family brought Bavarian music to the globe
