UK-Ukraine trade progress

The UK and Ukraine have released a joint statement welcoming progress on their trade relationship. Both countries have been engaging on the future growth of trade and investment links after the UK leaves the EU.

Both the UK and Ukraine welcomed ongoing discussions to ensure continuity of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, which includes a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA), enabling more than £1.7 billion in trade between the countries.

Trade relations in Asia

The UK Trade Minister, Baroness Rona Fairhead, has visited South Korea and Vietnam to support British businesses and build on growing global trade relations;

“I am delighted to be visiting South Korea and Vietnam, 2 proud nations which in recent years have seen trade relation surge with the UK.”

In Vietnam further actions are being pushed, such as education of the English language in their country. This will continue to showcase the UK’s world leading capacity for English teaching and learning as well as open future business opportunities.

The power of a search bar

A study of 21 e-commerce sites showed that visitors using search to find the products they were looking for converted at 4.63 per cent versus the average of 2.77 per cent – making it nearly twice as effective.

These figures reflect the redesign of many e-commerce websites to feature a more prominent search bar to accommodate the change in customer behaviour. The search bar allows specific and quick shopping, which in turn could result in loyal returning customers.
