UK prepares for trade deal with Gulf Cooperation Council
Last week the International Trade Secretary, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, began preparations for an advanced trade deal with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), by calling upon the public and businesses to share their views ahead of negotiations beginning next year.
Building on the existing bilateral trade worth over £30 billion in 2020, a new deal would see greater opportunities in industries of the future such as digital trade, services and green growth, as well as better market access for British farmers and food producers, who currently export over £597 million in goods to the region.Read more
