Department of International Trade support UK firm CARDMEDIC
A new innovative UK business, CARDMEDIC, was founded by NHS anaesthetist Dr Rachel Grimaldi while on maternity leave. She developed a collection of digital flashcards to support healthcare workers wearing PPE to better share information to deaf, blind and critically ill coronavirus patients.
Department of International Trade connected Dr Grimaldi with local businesses in Brighton, helping her go from concept to launch in just 72 hours. CARDMEDIC is now used by NHS Trusts across the UK and in Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the United States.Read more
