Increase in UK exports to non-EU countries
Latest figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show a 4.2 per cent increase in UK exports to countries outside of the EU. In the year ending June 2019, demand from the US and China for UK goods and services has risen considerably.
International Trade Secretary Liz Truss said: “Following my recent trips to the US and Japan, it is clear to see the potential that trading with our close friends across the world brings to the UK economy.”Learn more
Bristol baby rocker start-up launches global takeover
The global baby product sector is booming, creating opportunities for UK-based companies to capitalise. According to recent research, the global market for baby products is expected to reach $16.78 billion by 2025.
Two years ago UK baby product business N2M Ltd launched its baby rocker, Rockit, and now supply Rockits to more than 100 independent nursery retailers and larger chain stores throughout the UK. 40,000 of its baby rockers have now been shipped worldwide and are being used by parents and carers in more than 40 countries, including the United States where they recently secured an export deal with a distributor.Find out more
