Record-breaking exports for all UK nations
New statistics from HMRC show that overseas demand for British goods has increased across every UK nation. In the 12 months to Q2 2019, goods exports in England grew by 2.7 per cent, in Scotland by 14.5 per cent, in Wales by 6.8 per cent and in Northern Ireland by 6.8 per cent.

New service to reduce market access barriers
A newly launched online tool will make it easier for British businesses to trade globally by allowing them to report any issues preventing them from overseas trading. The tool will ensure that the government’s trade experts can work with countries around the world to resolve concerns.
Some current market access barriers can prohibit imports entirely. A study by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) suggests G20 economies could see exports increase by 20 per cent if trade barriers were halved.Read more
