PM’s Ten Point Plan kickstarts green investment boom

New data released by the Department for International Trade has revealed that since the launch of the Prime Minister’s Ten Point Plan for a green industrial revolution, over £5.8 billion of overseas investment in green projects has been secured, creating around 56,000 jobs across the country.

Utilising £12 billion of government investment, the PM’s Ten Point Plan aims to drive green business and innovation in areas such as advancing offshore wind, upgrading public and social buildings to make them more sustainable and accelerating the shift to zero-emission vehicles.

International Trade Secretary, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, said: “Inward investment helps level up the UK by making companies more profitable, which means they can invest back into local economies and create stronger supply chains, meaning more sustainable communities for the future.”
