Northern Ireland seafood firm takes Christmas 2020 orders

Kilkeel-based Rooney Fish has already received orders for this year’s festive season from overseas customers, including Michelin-star restaurants, five-star hotels and supermarkets. Exports to 15 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America account for 99 per cent of the company’s turnover.

China and the Philippines e-commerce markets grow

New analysis shows China’s e-commerce market is set to grow at an annual rate of 13.3 per cent. This is suggested to be as a result of rising consumer preference of online shopping and the increase of alternative payment solutions.

On the other side of Asia, data has shown that a growing number of smartphone users and favourable government initiatives are also set to drive the Philippines’ e-commerce market. The e-commerce market in the Philippines has been revealed to be one of the fastest growing in Southeast Asia.
