Access to the UK’s trade and investment data
The Department for International Trade (DIT) has published its first summary of the value of trade and investment between the UK and 222 individual markets, using data from the Office of National Statistics, HM Revenue & Customs and international organisations.
The consolidated data provides a valuable source of information on the UK’s trade and investment positions for businesses to build insights, whilst also demonstrating the DIT’s commitment to openness and transparency. Switzerland is No.1 on the e-commerce index
Each year, the B2C E-commerce Index of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) ranks 152 countries on their readiness to engage in e-commerce and Switzerland has gained the top ranking for the first time. The Netherlands now ranks number two, having previously taken the number one spot in 2018 and 2019.
Countries are ranked via a number of different factors – access to secure internet servers, postal service and infrastructure, internet usage and access to a financial institutions account or mobile money services.
