UK Customs Academy sees three-fold bookings increase in July
The UK Customs Academy reported a three-fold increase in bookings in July, with a total of 328 courses booked – up from 89 in June. Developed at the request of the HMRC, the Academy supports the development of a robust and sustainable customs sector of the future by preparing UK businesses for new customs rules after the UK’s exit from the EU.
Traditionally, July is quite a quiet month, but with less people taking vacations and realising they have 6 months to prepare for post-transition customs rules, demand has soared. Bookings predominately came from retailers as well as intermediaries who are taking advantage of the governments grant scheme.Find out more
