British essential oils stimulate trade lanes with UAE
In 2018 UK industry exports of essential oils totalled £179.5 million, exports to the United States alone amounted to £34.8 million. There has been a general revival and growing interest in holistic therapies, and more specifically aromatherapy is seeing increased demand.
First Natural Brands is a company based in West-Sussex and with the support from the Department for International Trade, secured a contract based in the United Arab Emirates.
Sarah Lannin, Head of international Sales at First Natural Brands said: “By exporting our brand visibility has increased substantially and this has also led to new product developments specifically for international markets where the trends may be slightly different.”See more
Northern Irish tipple tops trade exports
Irish Whiskey is now the fastest growing premium spirit category in the world. According to the Irish Whiskey Association, exports are set to double to 12 million 9-litre cases by 2020.
South Africa is the fastest growing non-EU market for Irish Whiskey followed by other markets including Australia, Kenya, Mexico, Norway Taiwan and the United States.
