Black Friday sales in Britain jump

This year Black Friday coincided with the November pay day for most Britons. It was also a week closer to Christmas which saw sales jump 16.5 per cent compared with last year, according to payments firm Barclaycard.

What started as a store-focused shopping holiday, has increasingly moved online to join Black Friday and Cyber Monday into a week-long of special offers for most retailers.

Sunday Times Fast Track 100

On Sunday 1 December, the 23rd annual Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table was published, ranking Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing sales. This year featured a record number of businesses led by women and products combatting environmental issues.

DHL Express customer Gymshark, who ranked tenth and featured on the list for the fourth consecutive year, also launched their disruptive Blackout campaign this week, breaking records globally on the Shopify platform!
