Department of International Trade celebrate 7 years of GREAT
The GREAT campaign launched in 2012 to showcase the best of what the nation has to offer the world and has been the UK’s most successful international campaign, active in 140 countries and securing a return of £3.4 billion to the British economy.

UK and Taiwan trade
UK Minister for Trade Policy George Hollingbery visited Taiwan for the 21st meeting of annual trade talks between the nations. UK-Taiwan bilateral trade rose to £5.5 billion in 2017, making Taiwan the UK’s 8th largest trading partner in the Asia Pacific region.
The Minister met with President Tsai Ing-Wen, the Minister of Economic Affairs, Shen Jong-Chin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Wu. Discussions included trade relations, opportunities for growth and resolving maket access issues.Learn more

In six months the UK will have the opportunity to begin negotiating Free Trade Agreements, and in preparation the Government is consulting with members of the public, businesses, trade experts, and any other interested organisations to help inform this work.
