Trade Conference round-up | Q3 International Trade Outlook | Future Decoded

Trade the World conference
Why businesses need to get serious about exporting

The fourth annual British Chambers of Commerce International Trade Conference brought together business and political leaders, Chamber members and entrepreneurs to discuss British business success and potential around the world.

Key themes included the importance of exporting to the UK economy, the support that is available (such as the Global Business Network), opportunities and risks, as well as taking advantage of Brand Britain.

Our latest blog includes a Storify summary of the event and we will be sharing further insights from individual sessions in the coming weeks.

Q3 2015 Quarterly International Trade Outlook highlights

We were also delighted to release the latest Quarterly International Trade Outlook at the International Trade Conference.

The latest report from the British Chambers of Commerce and DHL found that overall Trade Confidence was down. However, 58 per cent of exporters do expect profitability to increase during the next year and UK exports are set to grow by 3.6 per cent in 2015 and 2 per cent in 2016.

The report also includes fact sheets for China, India, Myanmar and Thailand. Each fact sheet includes an economic snapshot, opportunities for UK businesses, market strengths and Customs tips.
