Online retail more convenient for shoppers

According to PwC’s Total Retail Survey 2016, convenience accounts for around 50 per cent of shoppers’ motivation to buy online, whilst only 5 per cent were driven by price.

PwC highlighted that “every brand – whether a manufactured product, service provider, or retailer – needs to have a strategy in place for addressing consumers who wish to engage online.”

The Centre for Retail Research also found that e-commerce is the fastest growing retail market in Europe and North America, with similar trends in Asia.
