Manufacturing & UK exports | Australia’s growth model | Sharing Economy

British manufacturing and exports remain strong
According to a report compiled by the EEF manufacturers’ body and accountancy firm BDO, the demand for manufacturing from European markets is particularly strong, with 61 per cent of companies surveyed reporting an upturn.
Optimism for future growth also rose, which led to the EEF revising its forecasts. Manufacturing is now set to expand by 1.3 per cent in 2017 and 0.5 per cent in 2018.
EEF chief economist, Lee Hopley, said: “Industry is reporting that output and orders have continued to head higher in recent months and the recovery in manufacturing globally is a big part of the story.

Spotlight on Australia and Sustainable Development Goals
Research conducted by AlphaBeta and The Business and Sustainable Development Commission, shows that the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in four major global systems could generate incredible business opportunities.
Worldwide the SDGs (otherwise known as global goals, a universal call to action to end poverty and protect the planet) could unlock US$12 trillion of revenue by 2030 through 60 high-potential opportunities. With a new demand for environmental and social SDGs enforced by the UN, Australia has realised the need to transform their growth model to secure further growth.
The companies that are predicted to thrive will be those that seek to solve and adopt the sustainability agenda and actively use it to drive their business efficiencies and opportunities.
