E-commerce sales in Spain increased 29.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2015, compared to the previous year, according to the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia.
This growth is likely due to improved business and consumer confidence, as well as increased spending power.
The number of digital transactions also increased by 27.4 per cent annually in Q3 2015. Clothes, CDs, books, and magazines were some of the most frequently purchased products. Residents of Spain have a keen desire for online shopping and many consumers buy from outside the country.
