DHL Business Live brings together DHL customers and partners to discuss industry trends. On 31 August, Ned Wills (Commercial Director at Harlequins), Lucinda Holmes (Chair of Governors, Rugby School), and Shannon Diett (VP Marketing at DHL Express UK) took part in the Exporting British Heritage event.

Held at London’s Saatchi Gallery, the panel discussion focused on how organisations can celebrate their history but still evolve, and the global popularity of British heritage brands.

Mobile shopping in Southeast Asia
 
Mobile drives retail e-commerce in Southeast Asia
 

Digital retail sales in Southeast Asia’s six largest markets – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam – will reach over $14 billion in 2016. This is an increase of 33.6 per cent annually.

This growth in e-commerce is due to rising internet and mobile use, as well as high population size and purchasing power. The US Census Bureau estimates that these markets will have around 21.7 million new consumers over the next four years.

Mayor of London leads trade mission to USA
 

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, will travel to the USA as part of an International Business Programme launched by his predecessor Boris Johnson, aimed at driving global growth for over 800 London SMEs during the next three years.

Accompanied by 23 high-growth technology startups, the mayor will be showcasing entrepreneurial talent and promoting UK business.

Participants in the scheme will receive mentoring on how to reach new international markets and grow overseas.
