On February 3rd our experts will be taking to Twitter to answer your questions about trading with China…
Enter the dragon. Or the Year of the Dragon to be precise. On January 23rd, millions of Chinese people waved goodbye to the Year of the Rabbit, and ushered in a new year – headed up by a mythical creature thought to symbolize innovation, power and good fortune.
But you don’t have to believe in dragons to see the potential of China for exporters. Growth of the Chinese economy may have slowed in recent months, but myriad opportunities still await UK companies.
The second largest economy in the world (pipped to first place only by the USA), home to a massive 1.3 billion people, expansion means China is more and more dependent on Europe and the US. The great news is UK companies are already taking advantage of an increase in demand for shiny new European stuff – especially when it comes to all those luxury goods craved by a widening middle class.
To celebrate a year of opportunity, and mark the launch of the China-focused DHL/BCC Trade Confidence Index Q4, we’ll be holding a Twitter Q&A on Friday February 3rd.
Join us, along with some of the best and brightest tweeters in the business, as we take your questions on everything and anything to do with trading with China. Experts from DHL will be on hand from 11am. Just remember to use the hashtag #Export12 in your question (this makes sure our experts will definitely see it).
If you can’t make it on Feb 3rd, don’t worry: post your question on this blog (‘leave a reply’ below) and we’ll answer it on the day. We’ll also be posting a full summary of the session on this blog shortly afterwards.
