British Father’s Day gift exports in high demand
The demand for British goods has never been higher and this year people around the world chose to buy British for Father’s Day. Recent HMRC data shows the value of UK goods exports increased by 8.2 per cent in the year to May 2018.
Tech gadgets are still the number one choice for Father’s Day gifts and companies such as Extreme Fliers, a Micro Drone technology company, have gone from strength to strength experiencing significant export growth in the US since starting up.
Also making the most of international demand are Leicester-based beard grooming experts, Mo Bros, who have exported over 250,000 products around the world in the last three years.


UK-India Week 2018
This week, International Trade Secretary, Dr Liam Fox visited India and delivered a speech to mark the start of UK-India Week 2018. Bilateral trade between the two countries has grown rapidly over the past ten years and reached around £18 billion in 2017.
Dr Liam Fox acknowledged the opportunity for both countries as we leave the European Union and highlighted efforts to enhance the trade partnership through opening up new sectors and minimising barriers to trade.

On Sunday 10 June, The 2018 Sunday Times International Track 200 league table was released by Fast Track – a network of the UK’s top private firms and entrepreneurs. The league table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing overseas sales.
Ian Wilson, CEO of DHL Express of UK & Ireland, said: “The unparalleled reach of the internet has shrunk the world – and is helping e-commerce exporters sell British goods from jewellery to cycling gear, to customers in every corner of the globe.”
Additionally, The International Track 200 Research Report highlighted the US as the most popular country for overseas sales, with 118 companies citing it as a major market.
