Spanish economy improves in October

Consumer-led spending has resulted in positive economic growth for Spain in October, giving the country the strongest growth rate in the Eurozone.

Economic output had increased by 0.8 per cent from Q2 to Q3 2015 and looks set to continue: “Early indications tell us that at least for the month of October growth was stronger than the third quarter,” said Economy Minister Luis de Guindos.

Spain is the fourth largest economy in the Eurozone and home to one of the EU’s largest consumer markets. Spain and the UK are major trading partners, with over 900 UK companies operating in Spain.
