The final DHL/ British Chambers of Commerce Trade Confidence Index of 2012 brought good news. The Index showed Britain’s export economy made clear progress in Q4 2012, despite challenges in the Eurozone.
Encouragingly, the Index reports a marked improvement in export activity for both manufacturing and services firms. And not only did the number of trade documents issued increase by 1.4% compared to the previous quarter, but exporters also reported feeling more confident about their longer-term outlook than at any time over the past two years.
With the support of DHL and the British Chambers of Commerce, exporters are encouraged to build on the success of 2012, with Australia highlighted as a key export destination to achieve this.
